Fees vary by appointment type, day and time. Full payment is required at time of consultation, with Medicare rebates processed on the spot where eligible.

  • Fee: $140

    Ideal for: Before work or school

    Worker’s Compensation / MVA has additional gap fee of $50

  • Only standard appointments are bulk billed

    Ideal for: follow up of results

    Who: All eligible Medicare card holders, DVA card holders

    What isn’t bulk billed: Double appointments, driving medicals, private work (e.g. return-to-work clearance), mental health treatment plans

  • Fee: $140

    Ideal for: if you don’t want to take time off in the week, or if it can’t wait until next week

    Important - care plans must be done by your usual doctor, and you cannot be MyMedicare registered with another surgery. Care Plans are not done on first appointments. ‍

  • The following services are generally not covered by Medicare and may require payment of a private fee:

    • Pre-employment medicals

    • Stand-alone fitness-for-work or return-to-work assessments requested for employment purposes

    • Commercial driver, aviation and other occupational licence medicals

    • Life insurance and superannuation medicals or reports

    • Medical examinations or reports for legal proceedings

    • School, university or other educational entrance medicals

    • Sport, gym, vocational or physical-training fitness assessments

    • Workers compensation or motor vehicle injury services once an insurer has accepted liability

    • Non-therapeutic cosmetic services

    • Forms, reports, letters or administrative work that is not part of a Medicare-eligible consultation

    Please note: Private driver’s licence medicals required because of a person’s age or medical condition may be eligible for Medicare. Commercial and occupational driving medicals are generally not covered.

    An ordinary consultation to assess or treat an illness or injury may still attract a Medicare rebate, even when a medical certificate is provided. Eligibility depends on the main purpose of the appointment.
